A 17th Century and later oak open armchair
The rectangular floral carved back panel with lunette carved top rail and scroll carved cresting, the solid seat embraced by scroll ended open arms on mid and end turned supports one arm initialled E.L. and dated 1666, bearing brass oval plaque engraved 'Trevor Hall' to the arm side, on turned legs joined by an undertier terminating in block supports.

  • The plaque presumably refers to Trevor Hall, LLangollen, built in 1743, for centuries a seat of the Trevor family.
