Modelled as a hen and three chicks perched on a log, the heads of the three larger birds mounted in gilt metal to form the stoppers, the smallest chick pecking the ground, all carefully coloured, set on a domed base painted with grass, the underside with a gilt rose spray, dentil gilding around the rim, 7.6cm high (base restored, minor chips and wear to gilding)
