by John Hamilton, maker's mark stamped on front and reverse, Dublin circa 1740,
of shaped circular outline, the centre engraved with an elaborate scroll-edge armorial within a shell, fruit, leaf, hatched and floral border, the applied scroll-edged border interspersed with shell and foliage, raised on three mythical dolphin supports with open mouths, engraved on reverse "61.0", diameter 39.4cm, weight 59oz.
