A rare ticket for the Sex Pistols at Ivanhoes Club, Huddersfield,
dated 23rd December 1977, Ticket No. 333, pink with red/gold borders, 9 x 11.5cm (3½ x 4½in)
This appearance, which actually took place on 25th December, turned out to be the Pistols' final UK concert. The club hosted a Christmas party in the afternoon for children of local one-parent families and of striking firemen, during which the Pistols played for free. They then appeared again later that evening.
The venue on the ticket was kept secret as the organisers did not want the authorities to have prior warning that the Pistols were due to appear; this resulted from previous occasions when the band had been banned from playing in other towns.
