No. 29132, playing four operatic airs, with single-spring motor, single-section comb with hooked teeth and central maker's stamp and large comb screws, and plain brass bedplate in red stained interior with glass dustlid, tunesheet replaced with a card typed with This musical box is dated 1857 on the inside of the bottom of the casing (shown to be correct), in grained case with rosewood veneered lid with central musical instrument inlay and quartet boxwood stringing, end flap and the period key of finely turned coromandel on steel stem (size 15) - 14.7/8in. (37.3cm) wide, the cylinder 8.1/4in. (21cm)
