the singing red finch, with moving beak and tail feather to continuous birdsong, on petrified wood surmount decorated with pluro-fungi and moss, a kingfisher and finch also perched at base of natural wood, under serpentine-shaped dome cage, with single horizontal bar and large top carrying boss, the matching base with central panels of thuya-wood and rosewood crossbanding veneers, the panels, corners, top and shaped apron edges finished with gilt metal appliqués, with side handles, key-wind to front and start/stop pull on the right-hand side, on brass ball feet - 25.1/2in. (64.8cm) high
