A large collection of wine left-over from backstage at numerous Grateful Dead concerts, 1970s-1990s
Approximately 125 bottles of California and French wine that came from various sources: extra bottles from backstage that were part of the band's rider agreement; bottles that were gifted to the band by promoters, family members, friends (like Bill Graham), and fans, and bottles that were given to Ram Rod personally as gifts; Ram Rod was also gifted many of the bottles that were not consumed backstage. A wide variety is included in this lot such as 1948 Chateau Lafite Rothschild, 1975 Chateau Mouton Rothschild - En Hommage a Picasso, 1987 Chateau Clerc Milon Cru Classe Baron Philippe de Rothschild, 1974 Beaulieu Vineyards George LaTour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 1991 Morgan Carneros Pinot Noir, and 1988 Joli Val Cabernet Sauvignon, among countless others. (Please note some of the wine has gone bad, but most of the bottles are still intact and drinkable.)
