Hinged gilt full plate movement with steel three-arm balance, pierced and engraved foliage design cock with swirls and single foot, Egyptian pillars, fusee chain barrel and verge escapement, silver battle regalia champleve engraved dial with central revolving hours and outer calibrated five minute markers, single poker hand, silver inner case with split-bezel numbered 511 and stamped with maker GN, tortoise-shell outer with pique and finely inlaid silver castle within cartouche enclosed with battle regalia, dial and back-plate signed
diameter 53mm.

Footnotes

  • The inner dial revolves with the minute hand until a new hour approaches, the gearing then advances the disc to display the next hour as the minutes pass twelve. Contemporary examples are commonly referred to as jump-hour watches.
