A fine Easter Island janus staff
Easter Island, of classical form, with janus faces carved atop the long shaft. One side, both eyes missing, the other side, one eye deficient; of fishbone with obsidian inlay. Possibly not carved from toromiro wood, the staff may likely date from the 1860s.
