Four white jade ornaments
Qing Dynasty, 19th Century
The first, a lock-shaped amulet, carved in low relief to one side with the attributes of the 'Eight Immortals' and reversed with four characters reading fu ru dong hai (May you have good fortune like the Eastern Ocean), the translucent matrix of pale green tone marked with oatmeal-colored flecks and some icy white inclusions; the second, a plaque-form toggle decorated with two reticulated confronting chilong, the pale greenish-white matrix with light russet patches; the third and the forth both rectangular pendants, carved similarly in low relief with poetic inscriptions reversed by figural scenes on uneven surfaces; one stone of pale grey-green tone and the other of very pale green tone; both with light russet stains.
