From the Havell edition of The Birds of America, handcolored engraving with aquatint and etching printed on J Whatman paper 1836, with margins, laid down, in good condition aside from sheet lightly toned, 6in and 5in vertical rubs between birds (with some ink loss), 2 abrasions in upper sky area, numerous rubs in margins and within platemark (not in printed area), 2 1/2in tear at lower left corner of margin, 2 sided tape at the center of each margin, pale mat staining, a few specks of foxing in margins, framed.
