Title-page and penultimate plate trimmed and remounted, scattered repaired closed tears, pl. 52 torn and restored with loss, pl. 6 with restored corners, some ink doodling (including an old sketch on the reader's portrait plate), repaired marginal chip to first text leaf, minor browning/foxing; calf rebacked with old spine laid down.
First edition. Rare, with engravings depicting human folly and obsession. These images were later included in Abraham's Centi-Folium Stultorum.
