Arabic manuscript on paper in thirty sections, each juz approximately 60 leaves, five lines to the page written in clear sini script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in red and black, red markers between verses, inner margins ruled in red, sura headings written in red ink, each juz with a double-page illuminated frontispiece preceded by an illuminated roundel added at a later date, trimmed, corners rather thumbed, some repairs, inscriptions and seal impressions in Chinese characters, brown morocco with stamped rosettes, with flap, rebacked, in modern slipcases
