Document Signed (“G°:Washington”) as President, partially printed and accomplished in manuscript, 1 p, folio (398 x 328 mm), issued in Charleston, South Carolina, November 14, 1793, ship’s papers in English, French and Dutch, also signed by THOMAS JEFFERSON (“Th:Jefferson”) as Secretary of State, and countersigned by Isaac Holmes, Collector of the port of Charleston and Stephen Ravenel, Justice of the Peace, large paper seal of the United States, some tiny holes and closed tears near the fold intersections and wax seal, affecting a couple of letters and expertly repaired from verso, some mild creasing, small dark spot on paper seal, matted and framed with portrait of Washington.

Three-language ship’s papers for the sloop Harmony, commanded by Timothy Parker, of about 66 tons, and bound for Trinidad with a cargo of tobacco and rice, among other items.
