Lorenzo Theweneti (Italian, circa 1797-1878)
A Lady, seated on a crimson sofa draped with gold stole with embroidered details, in front of a pink curtain with pillars in background, wearing an elaborate white dress with ribbons and lace detailing and adorned with gold, gem and pearl encrusted brooches, gold strand necklace, diamond rings and long drop diamond earrings, she holds a pink rose in her gloved right hand, her hair dressed in plaits.
Signed on the obverse, LT, ormolu mounted papier-mâché frame.
