- The single, 'Ticket To Ride'/Yes It Is', was released on Friday 9th April and the next day the group went into the BBC's Riverside Studios, London, to tape promos for 'Top Of The Pops'. They recorded mimed performances of both tracks, which were then broadcast in the show five days later and in subsequent weeks. The single was to become the Beatles' eighth consecutive UK No.1.
