Micrographia: or Some Physiological Descriptions of Minute Bodies Made by Magnifying Glasses, FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, privilege leaf, title-page printed in red and black, 38 engraved plates (12 folding or double-page), some spots and small stains, a few plates with neat repairs, one or two trimmed at inner edge, N[athaniel] Matthew's name and signature in ink on title, his pen trials on lower free endpaper (dated 1732), and a few plates labelled in ink, small sketch and doodle of "J.M."? on verso of privilege leaf, contemporary calf, foot of spine skilfully repaired [Wing H2620; Grolier/Horblit 50; Keynes 6; PMM 147], folio (296 x 195mm.), John Martyn and James Allestry, 1665
