Two Egyptian Predynastic black-topped pottery vessels
Naqada II, circa 3600-3200 B.C.
With red burnished bodies, one a bulbous jar, 8¾in (22.2cm) high, cracked, with some restoration on the interior; the other a hemispherical bowl, with a collection number in black ink on the body, 4½in (11.4cm) high; and a Kerman red and black burnished beaker, the fine-walled vessel, with flattened sides, probably circa 1750-1550 B.C., 6¼in (15.9cm) high, rim chipped (3)
