shaped oval form with flared sides, embossed with foliate scroll-work on a matted ground, raised on a spread oval foot, a late Victorian silver fruit dish, by G. Howson, London 1896, of similar form, a late Victorian silver swing-handled bonbon basket, by Messrs Hutton & Sons, London 1896, the sides pierced with mullets and acanthus leaf edged cartouches, a small Edwardian silver swing-handled sugar basket, Chester 1901, of panelled navette form with part fluted decoration and blue glass liner, an early 19th century German silver swing twin-handled sugar basket with blue glass liner, maker's mark IR, Kassel circa 1800, of oval form, the sides pierced and engraved with swags of acanthus leaves above flutes, an early 19th century Belgian silver swing-handled sugar basket fitted with blue glass liner, by P Hendrickx, Brussels circa 1810, circular form, the flared sides with alternate shell-capped straps and a standing figure of Mercury with a fine drape delicately covering his modesty.
