Comprising a japanned gunpowder and shot dispenser, joined together against a back-plate, each with hinged lid and retaining traces of 'Gunpowder' and 'Shot' painted in gold letters at the front (the gunpowder nozzle missing); a pair of John Dickson & Son detached mechanisms for a d.b. percussion sporting gun, each signed and engraved with scrolling foliage (some pitting, hammers missing), No. 1913 for 1858; a double leather shot-belt (worn, strap incomplete); a leather shot-flask stamped 'Sykes 14lb' (suspension belt incomplete); a cowhorn powder-flask; three brass-mounted copper powder-flasks (dented, one nozzle missing), two with embossed bodies; three leather shot-flasks (one nozzle missing); a Scottish sportsman's lock-knife with natural staghorn grip-scales, and white-metal plaque on one side engraved with owner's name 'Major J. Deans'; a detached Eastern flintlock mechanism; a gang-mould for casting fourteen spherical bullets; a steel bullet mould for casting two rifle bullets; two brass rifle moulds; seven various bullet moulds each for casting a spherical bullet; eight various ramrods; eight various nipple and turnscrews; three powder-measures; a nickel rifle cartridge-extractor stamped '.500'; two patch-cutters; and fourteen other items including a leather travelling cover for a cased percussion gun or rifle, the exterior with handwritten owner's name 'Maj. Gordon R.A.', and a pair of 19th century brass tazzas, the rims caste with human masks amid strapwork and foliage (a lot)
