The blade with one mekugi-ana, choji-midare hamon with ashi, mokume hada, chiselled on the omote with a dragon and tama horimono and on the ura with Su Ken and bonji, the tsuka retaining its sentoku fuchi-kashira decorated with a prunus branch with gold details and bamboo, and a pair of shakudo and gilt menuki (ito missing), and shakudo-ishime tsuba decorated in gold with an ox beneath a tree by a stream, in its black ishime lacquered saya
