A Victorian silver tea kettle on stand and burner,
by Martin & Hall, Sheffield 1864,
globular form with fixed handle, the sides engraved with a wide band of large scroll-edged cartouches linked by acanthus leaves, one cartouche engraved with twin crests, bead borders throughout, the stand engraved with similar decoration and with an openwork apron and four bead embellished feet, together with a wood case, height 41cm, weight 79.5oz.
