Mrs Maitland gently wiped away a tear/and Miss Carter (who wore pink) drooped for tomorrow/we, and our dear friends would go our several/ways, but just then we heard a bellowing/voice calling "Bertie, Bertie, what are you doing?". It was Mrs Hope-Ainsworth with Millie, and there/was Bertie about to take the hand of a woman/he was talking too, and she wasn't a very nice/woman either", said Aunt Mary. Just then Miss Carter/saw the Landau and asked for Taylor (the Bank Manager)/if he didn't think it a good idea if we didn't all go back/in the Landau, but, he said, we couldn't all get into/one Landau and the year was 1908/Helen Layfield Bradley 1974' (on a label verso)
