Including: one 16th century, Katchushi style, with a butterfly to one side (pitting, some oxidation); one circa 1600, Toshibata school, designed with a quatrefoil encircled by an openwork ring (pitting, some oxidation); one circa 1800, Sendai Katchushi style, in mokko form with Amida yasuri and pierced gourd and trefoil design to one side; one 17th century, Kyoto Shoami school, with a stylized bird flying over splashing waves; two school of Tadatsugu of Kyoto with pierced sakura-sui motif, one 18th century, the other circa 1800 additionally embellished with a gold inlaid fan (inlay losses); one circa 1800, Soshu school, flora-form with openwork fans and brass-inlaid details (wear); one 18th century, Yoshiro style fahioned as four ginko leaves with inlaid gilt metal dew drops (surfaces lacquered); one circa 1900, Tokyo art school with abstract design (lacquered surface); one circa 1900 casting of Shoami work; and one small sukashi casting (lacquered surface).
