Rare Emerald
Columbia
Virtually every emerald appearing on the market today has been enhanced in some way, even if it is just an organic treatment such as cedar oil. The present emerald-cut stone is rare for its complete lack of clarity enhancement. Having classic proportions, suitable for mounting as a ring, the stone is desirable to collectors for its complete lack of treatment, and its exceptional clarity and luster.
Weighing approximately 1.78 carats and measuring 10.5 x 6.2 x 3.8mm.

Footnotes

  • Accompanied by a Gemological Institute of American Gemological
Laboratories report #CS38439 dated June 23, 2006 stating that the
emerald is "natural emerald, classic Columbian, and that there is no
    evidence of clarity enhancement.
