An Imperial quart mug by Carpenter and Hamberger, circa 1800
With slim plain tapering body and S-shaped handle with oval escutcheon attachment at lower end, the body punched 3 over 2 and engraved with a crown over GR cypher over 3W and bearing an 1826 Westminster portcullis verification mark, touchmark (Cott 812) in base, height 6½in (16.5cm).
