    Note:
Beginning early in his career Rockwell incorporated children in many of his magazine cover works. One popular theme centered upon the misfortunes of a bespectacled city boy named Cousin Reginald Claude Fitzhugh- arrogant but ineffectual - who is the unwilling butt of his country cousins. The yokels have a rather cruel sense of humor but are nonetheless assumed to have the sympathy of the reader. Master Reginald, the bookish young man and his adverturesome cohorts, Chuck Peterkin and the Doolittle brothers. Here we see Cousin Reginald tied up and tormented by Rusty Doolittle while his brother Tubby and Chuck attend. In the distance Patsy the dog looks on from the makeshift raft.
