A fine pair of Worcester hexagonal vases and cover
circa 1767-68
of tapering form with domed covers surmounted by mushroom finials, painted with groups of four 'fancy' birds before twisted fruiting branches, their striped plumage painted in a pale palette, smaller bird panels on the shoulders and covers, reserved on a powder blue ground gilt with trailing flowering plants, 37.6cm (14 3/4in) (one with rim chip, the other with rim chip and associated crack and chip to foot, one cover with restored area to inner flange) (4)
