produced by the merged firm of Elswick-Hopper Cycle Co Ltd of Barton-on-Humber, this ladies bicycle, frame no. 38877, comes fully equipped with Sturmey-Archer three-speed hub gear, Miller dynamo lighting set and ‘Suresta’ adjustable side stand, the machine was purchased by the vendor at Bonhams & Brooks’ Harrogate Sale on 15th November 2001 (Lot 99) since when it has been kept in storage, it is not known when it was last ridden.
