First registered on 18th March 1965, this BSA B40 originally formed part of the Auxiliary Fire Services fleet of vehicles and comes with a photocopy of the original logbook recording the Secretary of State, Home Office, London as its first owner. The machine comes with expired MoTs for the period 1989 to 1992, after which it was stored until 1996. It was used during 1996/97 and then placed in storage again until 2004 when it was refurbished, receiving a new exhaust, silencer, rear chain, battery, cables and panniers, in addition to re-plated chromework and a re-covered seat. We are advised that the total recorded mileage to date stands at 5,714. Finished in AFS green, the machine is offered with current road fund licence and MoT to September 2006.
