Printed Document Signed by Harold Lloyd and others, 1 p, 11 by 21 inches, Los Angeles, June 9, 1934, being an open invitation to the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine to hold the 60th Imperial Council Session in Los Angeles, linen-backed, creased and soiled, lower margin clipped and reattached in two places, some fading to a few signatures, framed to 23½ by 13½ inches overall.
After the construction of the original Shrine Auditorium in 1906, Los Angeles became a popular destination for the Shriners annual convention. In this document over 40 members of the film industry sign an open letter to the Shriners: We the undersigned members of the Motion Picture Industry, extend to the Shriners of North America a most cordial invitation to hold your 1935 Imperial Council Session in Los Angeles
