    Patek Philippe began production of the reference 3974 in 1989. The calibre R 27 Q movement consists of 467 parts and uses a micro-rotor with a minute repeating mechanism and a perpetual calendar, all contained within a diameter of just 28mm. It was produced in yellow, pink or white gold and very few examples in platinum; the production was stopped in 1997.
