Bonhams 1793 : A 19th century Cantonese export ivory figural set

One side stained red, the other side left natural, with puzzle ball stems, on lotus carved bases, the kings and queens in traditional Chinese dress, the bishops as court mandarins, the knights as mounted warriors, the rooks as elephants bearing flagged turrets, the pawns as mounted soldiers, king 19cm, pawn 8.5cm.
