Will Francis Longstaff (1879 - 1953)

A Chinese carved wood and ivory inset figure group, Of a laughing boy mounted on the back of a bull, on a pierced wooden stand; 28cm wide, together with another chinese carved wood pillow in the form of a kneeling woman. (2)

Three Japanese Okimono Two children play-wrestling, 5.5cm high, a figure of a sword maker (incomplete) signed, 6cm high, and a fisherman. (3)

A Japanese late 19th Century simulated bark and gilt lacquered rectangular box and cover Decorated with an immortal striking rats with a staff, 26cm wide.

A bronze Bodhisttra Avalokitesvara After the original in Bankok museum, 67cm high, on ebonized fluted column.

A late Ming blue and white ovoid vase Decorated with leaves and flowers, 29cm high.

A Tibetan copper figure of a seated Lama Holding a dorge, 18cm high.

A Tibetan thanka The central multi-armed deity dancing with a serpent, 67 x 48cm, a Chinese bronze figure of a seated female deity on a double lotus base, 18cm high, a Himalayan bronze figure of a Bhodisatura, seated in dyhanasana, 15cm high, and three further bronze figures. (6)

Buyers' Premium and Charges

For all Sales categories excluding Wine, Coins & Medals and Motor Cars and Motorcycles:
A successful bidder at this sale will be required to pay Bonhams 1793 Limited ("Bonhams") a premium calculated as follows:
25% on the first £100,000 of the hammer price
20% on the excess of £100,001 and up to £2,000,000 of the hammer price
12% on the excess of £2,000,001 of the hammer price

VAT at 20% will be payable on the amount of the premium.

The premium is payable for the services to be provided by Bonhams in the Buyer's Agreement which is contained in the catalogue for this Sale and for the opportunity to bid for the Lot at the Sale.

Payment Notices

Payment in advance: by cash, cheque with banker's card, credit card, bank draft or traveller's cheque.

Payment at collection: by credit or debit card.

Credit card charges: a surcharge of 2% is applicable when using Mastercard, Visa and overseas debit cards.
