Three inlaid tsuba
Edo Period
The first a circa 1700 iron Shoami school sukashi tsuba fashioned as a network of gnarled pine branches supporting four small monkeys, two with inlaid copper alloy faces (wear); the second a circa 1600 Shoami school mixed metal inlaid soft metal dai later re-cut into mokko form, depicting a landscape scene studded with temples and dwellings (wear, altered), one hitsu with shakudo plug; the third a Shoami school style small, delicate mid 19th century plate designed as a series of overlapping tea implements and other objects beneath a small lattice window, the details inlaid in gold (wear).
