A Carol Burnett robe worn backstage on "The Carol Burnett Show"
CBS Television, 1967-1978. A fancy, tailored dressing robe worn by the comedian when she entertained guests after her show. Made of polyester fabric in a harlequin pattern of pink, blue and gold metallic, an e-mail print-out from a Bob Mackie employee accompanies this robe, reading in part: "Mr. Mackie...remembers...it was a fancy "At Home" robe that Miss Burnett regularly used to greet people in after the taping in her dressing room...it was purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue in the 1960's for Miss Burnett to use."
