Five iron tsuba
Edo Period
The first an unsusal sukashi plate fashioned as swirling grasses with inlaid gold details, upon which a large fly rests, signed Masakazu (oxidation); the second a Heianjo brass inlaid sukashi tsuba with varied mon designs among leafing plants (losses); the remaining three all decorated with dramatic scenes of dragons flying among waves or clouds, one with gold and silver inlaid details (oxidation, wear).
