Autograph Letter Signed (“R Scott”), 1 page, quarto, on British Antarctic Expedition stationery, July 6, 1910, to Sir Arthur Bigge, center crease, matted and framed with portrait.
Scott thanks Bigge for conveying a photograph of King George V given to the Terra Nova Expedition, which had just left England about a month previously: "I write to say that the photograph which the King has graciously given to the Expedition has been duly received and is now in safe custody. I need scarcely add that such a possession will be greatly prized by the members of the Expedition."
