A joined oak stool
Designed by Sir Robert Lorimer, The rectangular top above a pair of shaped and carved trestle supports joined by an arched stretcher, bearing a label to the underside which reads 'SCOTT MORTON & TYNECASTLE CO. LTD, MURIESTON RD EDINBURGH'. 41cm high x 44.5cm wide x 33cm deep.

  • This stool is believed to have come from the office of Stuart Matthew, Sir Robert Lorimer's former partner. The firm of Scott Morton undertook several commissions from Sir Robert, occasionally furniture, more often panelling including the house Hill of Tarvit in Fife.

Payment Notices
