An archive of correspondence from Orson Welles
Lot includes three notes signed "Orson" and a hand-drawn Christmas card in an autograph "for my darling Kendis" envelope. One is a short typed note apologizing for the delay in writing. A second reads "Forgive a telephobe for a rudely curt exchange on that dreaded machine and blame the bug for it. The fever's down this afternoon and I should be my own angelic self again any second now." He adds a sketch of very ill looking Orson. The third note is considerably longer and concerns a symposium he is planning for students. The Christmas card is a color sketch of Welles in Santa regalia and is signed "from Orson."
