This lot features a collection of approx. 100 volumes from the office library of Hollywood literary agent, H.N. Swanson, present are a near compete run of The Best American Plays, 1930s-1960s (no djs); dozens of volumes of The Motion Picture Almanac from the 1930s to the 1990s; and a tremendous collection of modern fiction, many volumes signed and inscribed to Swanson, including works by MACKINLEY CANTOR, JAMES M. CAIN, W.R. BURNETT, FRANK GILROY, KATHARINE BRUSH, B.J. CHUTE, ALAN LEMAY, WILLIAM E. BARRETT, PAUL GALLICO, HUGH WALPOLE, JOSEPH WAMBAUGH, JIM TULLY, MAX SHULMAN, THEODORE PRATT, JOSEPH HAYES, RICHARD SHERMAN, and EMMET LAVERY, among others. Condition fair on most volumes, several without djs. Present also is an uncorrected proof copy of Elmore Leonard's Maximum Bob.
