A fine and large pair of blue and white baluster jars and covers

Each boldly painted around the exterior with two large bands of petal lappets in sizes, the panels alternately painted in bold violet-blue with upright clusters of leafy blossoming lotus and a bird perched at the centre of the large cluster of flowering and budding tree peony, the necks each with six fan-shaped panels of lotus heads reserved on a ground of cell pattern, the covers similarly painted with lotus and peony panels beneath a blue-glazed seated Buddhistic lion finial (one cover finial and rim restored).
Both about 62cm (24 1/2in) high. (4).
