Britains set 1757 Barrage Balloon Unit
comprising 1760 Barrage Balloon with Winch, with top only of lid and instructions, and 1641 Underslung Heavy Duty Lorry, dark green finish, with driver, instructions and original illustrated box. The Unit was given to the vendor for Christmas 1940, the box having a sticker declaring 'Owing to difficulties in obtaining certain parts, the contents of this box will be found to vary slightly from the printed description.' In this instance, the lorry has an unusual wheel configuration in that all ten exterior wheels are fitted with white treaded tryes, and all eight interior wheels are solid metal with white painted tyres.
