Two Zairean items
Including a Kuba Janus-face wood cup, on a small pedestal base, the two faces carved with characteristic diamond-cut eyes and mouth, with sharp nose, scarification on the temples, a separate spout from each atop the grooved coiffure; along with a Luba ivory finial, conceived as the torso of a woman, her hands below the breasts, with heavy lidded eyes closed, serene smile and banded coiffure, decorated with circle-dot motifs.
