Two Bamana door locks
Mali, both figural examples, one standing on angular bent legs, the rectangular torso with incised cross-hatching , the small head at top domed and marked by a flat slab nose between incut eyes, more decoration incised on the cheeks, the crossbar tapering at the tip; the other without legs though of similar fashion, the horned head distinguished by broad crease mouth and zigzag side flanges.
