    An old card accompanying the shirt reads "Indian shirt presented to Ty Homewood by Mr. Henemen. Mr. Henemen was made a blood brother of the Blackfoot Indian Tribe in Glacier National Park in 1903 by Indian Jim Big Top. Beadwork on the shirt was taken from a war shirt owned in 1893 when the Blackfoot Indians made a raid on the Ute Indians to steal horses in Nevada. This shirt was made by the squaw of Jim Big Top and used in ceremonial dances"; by descent within the Homewood family to the present owner.
