Lingbi stone is the most valued type of stone among Scholar’s Rock collectors, both in its original home, China, and all around the world. Found only in Lingbi County of Anhui Province, they are formed of fine-grained, delicately textured limestone, naturally shaped and needing no carving. Sculpted by the flow of river water, with no alteration, the delicate texture of this piece is produced by its many veins of calcite. Lingbi stones are known for their resonant sound when tapped. Offered on a custom-fitted black stand.
