Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Comprising: a two-handled tray depicting a woodland hollow with a female beauty beside a stream offering a cup of water to a knight, accompanied by amorous putti frolicking around the water's edge, all within a border of diamond reserves interspersed with fantastical scrolls, the reverse painted with an alpine landscape, length between handles 17 1/4in (43.5cm); a footed coffee pot with winged female term handle, figural final and satyr mask spout terminal, encircled by a classical frieze depicting Bacchus beside a chariot and lounging bacchantes in a garden, height 7 1/4in (19cm); creamer with c-scroll handle with mask terminal, similarly decorated with a classical frieze below scrollwork bands and amorous putti on the interior of the mouth, height 5in (12.5cm); a footed sugar bowl with cover flanked by scroll handles incorporating a bearded mask, surmounted by a figural finial and painted with a classical frieze, the interior with a winged angel carrying a basket of flowers; two footed cups with similar frieze and interior angel decoration, and one saucer painted with oval reserves enclosing a bacchante and putto alternating with fantastical scrolls, the reverse with landscape vignettes, diameter 5in (12.5cm)
