  • Three of the four landscapes painted on pieces within this lot show the house painted from a slightly different viewpoint to those on the teapot and cover. Again, none of the views are titled. It is likely that the set predates the Dr Boot service. When he subsequently painted the Dr Boot saucer dish illustrated here, Billingsley probably re-used a scene that he had laboriously repeated many times on the present set
