Military Cross, G.V.R., engraved on reverse (Capt F.W.G.Keatinge Beit Aeissia Mesopotamia 17th-19th April 1916); 1914-15 Star (2/Lt F.W.G.Keatinge, (M.C.) I.A.R.O. Attd 1/1/Gurkhas); British War and Victory Medal with MID Oakleaf (Lieut F.W.G.Keatinge); General Service Medal, 1918-1962, one bar, Iraq (Capt F.W.G.Keatinge); India General Service 1908-1935, one bar, Waziristan 1919-21 (Capt F.W.G.Keatinge, 73 C.Infy.); India General Service 1936-1939, one bar, North West Frontier 1936-37 (Capt F.W.G.Keatinge A.I.R.O.     The lot comes with original M.I.D. certificates for 1916 and 1938 awards.
    Copy of Medical History from Appointment to Invalidment, confirming two shots from rifle fire. Copy of the Gazette of India 5.8.1944. Pensions Appeal Tribunal (Entitlement) dated 7.6.1950, a typed resume of his military service, and an assortment of original photographs taken during his time in India and Kukri.

    He was commissioned into the I.A.R.O on 29.1.1915 and was posted to 1/1 Gurkha Rifles. He was battalion on active service in France, Egypt and Mesopotamia as Adjutant, Quarter Master, and Double Company Commander. On being wounded he transferred to the Supply and Transport Corps from 17.12.1916 to 31.10.1921 as Officer Commanding several Transport units.

    He transferred and was posted to the 73 Carnatic Infantry, Waziristan Field Force on 31.10.1921, he was temporarily detached and posted as Commandant 99 Labour Corps, Waziristan Field Force, and was with the unit until retirement in November 1922. He was in Waziristan in 1937 and spent his wartime service in India and retired again on 19.5.1944 due to chronic myocarditis.
